Polish Me Beautiful: Sigma Dry'n Shape Review

As you guys already know I can be a bit lazy when it comes to cleaning my makeup brushes, mostly because the bigger brushes take so long to dry. Cleaning them is not that much of a chore, but leaving them out over night to dry and finding out the next day that they are still damp is no fun. In an attempt to resolve this problem an item on my wishlist this christmas was Sigma's Dry'n Shape and my parents have been nice enough to give me my presents ahead of time this year for blogging purposes.

Como ya sabes puedo ser un poco vaga cuando se trata de lavar mis brochas de maquillaje, mayormente porque las brochas mas grandes se tardan demasiado en secar. Limpiarlas no es mucho trabajo pero el dejarlas la noche a secar y encontrarlas al otro dia todavía húmedas no es divertido. En un intento para resolver este problema una de las cosas en mi lista a Santa estas navidades fue un Dry'n Shape de Sigma y mis padres han sido tan buenos como para darme mis regalos adelantados este año.

Yesterday I decided it was a good day to give my brushes a good cleaning and test out my new Dry'n Shape. For a full tutorial on how I clean my brushes you can go here. The instructions to using this are fool-proof. You wash your brushes using your preffered method, you squeeze the excess water out and you place your brush into the smallest band into which it will fit. Sigma then claims that your brushes will be completly dry and ready to use in 4 to 6 hours. I did find that this was the case for most of my brushes except my bigger, denser brushes which still took about 8-9 hours to dry. However, this number is way better than the overnight-plus time that it usually takes for them to get completely dry.

Ayer decidí que era un buen día para lavar las brochas y probar mi nuevo Dry'n Shape. Para un tutorial de como yo lavo mis brochas puede ir aquí. Las instrucciones para utilizarlos son sencillísimas. Lavas tus brochas como prefieras, exprimes el exceso de agua y colocas la brocha en la banda mas pequeña en la que puedas insertarla. Sigma alega que tus brochas estarán secas y listas para utilizar en 4 a 6 hora. Mi experiencia fue esta para la mayoría de mis brochas excepto las mas grandes y densas que se tardaron al menos de 8-9 horas. Sin embargo, este número es mucho mejor que la noche y mas que usualmente toma para que se sequen completamente.

I know that having this will motivate me to clean my brushes more often since I won't have to wait forever for them to dry. I have to option to wash them some time before going to bed and have them ready to use in the morning. All in all I definitely recommend the Sigma Dry'n Shape especially for those of you like me that only have one set of brushes. It not only works but it also reshapes them leaving them as good as new. Yo sé que tener esto me motivará ahora a limpiar mis brochas mas a menudo ya que no voy a tener que esperar para siempre para que sequen. Ahora tengo la opción de lavarlas en algún momento antes de acostarme y sé que estarán listas para usar en la mañana.
