Fall Polish Picks

Fall is well on it's way and I am already getting into a fall colors mood. I though I could share with you guys my fall polish picks. These are the colors that for me embody fall and the colors I tend to gravitate too when this season comes around.

El otoño esta casi en llegar y ya yo estoy en el humor de utilizar colores de otoño. Pensé que podría compartir con ustedes los colores que para mi me hacen pensar en otoño y los colores a los cuales yo suelo gravitar cuando llega esa temporada.

1. Milani's Golden Goddess is a beautiful metallic coppery-gold making it great for fall because it is on the warm side of gold and we can all agree that fall comes in line with warmer colors.

2. Revlon - 470 Amber Ablaze (this is what I have on my nails now) is a bronze color with extremely fine gold shimmer, it is a foil finish.

3. Avon Real Red, for me a deeper red color is a must have for fall. Red is always a statement.

4. Bettina 116 is a great neutral color that still says fall. It is an opaque nude in a cream finish.

1. Milani Golden Goddess es un metálico cobre/dorado excelente para el otoño porque está en el lado cálido de los dorados y todos creo que estamos de acuerdo que con el otoño corresponden colores cálidos.

2. Revlon en 470 Amber Ablaze (lo que llevo en mis uñas ahora) es un bronce con brillos finos dorados. Tiene un acabado metálico.

3. Avon en Real Red, para mi un rojo mas oscuro es necesario para el otoño. El rojo siempre deja algo que decir.

4. Bettina 116 es un color neutral perfecto que aún dice "otoño". Es un color carne opaco con un acabado crema.

1. Revlon 820 Stormy is a beautiful taupey-gray which makes me look at my nails and smile every time I apply it, it is one of my favorites.

2. Bettina 197 is a creamy gray with the slightest hint of blue. Everyone should have a gray like this in their collection.

3. Orly in Naughty is a very unique color which always seems to catch the eye. It might look black but it is a dark blood color. It is a creme finish and is perfecto for anyone that wants to go really dark but thinks black is to harsh.

4. WetnWild's Under Your Spell is a dark burgundy color. It is a black base with tons of red shimmer.

1. Revlon en 820 Stormy es un hermoso taupe grisáseo que me hace sonreir cuando miro mis uñas, es uno de mis favoritos.

2. Bettina en 197 es un gris cremoso con un pequeño toque de azul. Todos deberías tener un gris así en su colección.

3. Orly Naughty es un color muy unico que siempre llama la atención. Puede lucir negro de primera instancia pero en realidad es un color como sangre oscura. Tiene un acabado cremoso y es perfecto para todo aquel que quiere un color oscuro pero piense que negro es demasiado drástico.

4. WetnWild Under Your Spell es un color vino oscuro. Es una base negra con brillos rojos.

Finally, I would also suggest a nice navy blue which as I was searching my collection I realized I don't have. I know what I'm picking up on my next Walgreens haul!

Finalmente, también sugiero un azul marino que al buscar por mi colección de esmaltes me fijé que no tenía. Yo sé lo que compraré en mi próxima visita a Walgreens!

Celebration Time Nails

Here's a quick kind of sucky post with a sucky picture. I've been sporting these nails for about three days and wanted you guys to have a look. Unfortunately the only picture I was able to take before they chipped on me was with my phone camera and it pretty much sucks, but I decided to post it anyway. I used Revlon's Fiery as a red base coat and topped my thumb and ring finger with Milani's Gems. I love how this last polish looks like confetti. These nails scream "Celebration Time" to me.

Aquí les dejo una entrada media porquería con una foto bastante porquería. Llevo alrededor de tres días con este esmalte y quería que lo vieran. Desafortunadamente la única foto que le pude tomar antes de que se dañaran fue con mi teléfono y en realidad quedó bastante mal, pero me decidí mostrarla como quiera. Utilizé una el esmalte de Revlon, Fiery, como base roja y sobre eso coloqué el esmalte Gems de Milani en mi pulgar y dedo anular. Me encanta que este último esmalte se ve como confetti. Estás uñas para mi gritan "Tiempo de Celebración".

July Favorites!

I know it's already a few days into August but I wanted to show you some of my favorites for the passing month of July. Some are newly discovered products that I would most definitely not mind purchasing again and some are long time favorites that I have especially enjoyed this month. Let me know if you care for an in depth review on any of them! ;)

Sé que ya van algunos días de agosto pero quería mostrarle algunos de mis productos favoritos de el último mes de julio. Algunos los descubrí recientemente y se que los volveré a comprar y otros han sido favoritos por algún tiempo pero los he estado disfrutando mucho en este mes. Me dejan saber si desean una reseña mas a fondo de alguno de ellos! ;)

• Loreal Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner in Black - I got this liner on the last days of the month but it did not take me long at all to use the hell out of it!
• Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink - I also own one of these in Luminoso and cannot be more pleased with the wonderful glowy aspect of these blushes. This pink shade if great for just a bit of flush.
• Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze - I love me some Color Tattoos and have been using this one in particular because I have found it is great to layer under just about any color.
• Elf Blush and Bronzing Duo (Bronzer) - Don't get me wrong I really enjoy the blush also but as you can see I use the bronzer the most. I'm able to use this bronzer lightly all over to make sure my face matches my body and it is also my all-time favorites contouring bronzer.
• Revlon ColorStay for Oily-Combination in 340 Early Tan - This is my favorite foundation and I especially use it in the summer because it withstands the heat and humidity of Puerto Rico really well.
• 3 Minute Miracle Deeep Conditioning Treatment - I got this product not too long ago and already wrote a review raving about it. I have been using it about once a week and have decided to never live without it. Really makes the difference with my hair!

• Loreal Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner en Black - Obtuve este liner en los últimos días del mes pero no me tomo mucho para usarlo y usarlo.
• Milani Baked Blush en Dolce Pink - También tengo uno en el color Luminoso y no me puede gustar mas el aspecto luminoso de estos blushes. El rosa es bueno para un colo sutil.
• Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze - Me fascinan los Color Tattoos pero este en particular le encuentro mucho uso porque me he encontrado que luce hermoso bajo casi cualquier color.
• Elf Blush and Bronzing Duo (Bronzer) - No se equivoquen! Me agrada mucho el rubor pero como pueden ver uso el bronceador mas. Puedo usarlo con una mano liviana para que mi cara luzca del mismo color que mi cuerpo o puedo usarlo para darle forma a mi cara.
• Revlon ColorStay for Oily-Combination in 340 Early Tan - Esta es mi base favorita y la uso en especial en verano porque aguanta la humedad y calor de Puerto Rico muy bien.
• 3 Minute Miracle Deeep Conditioning Treatment - No obtuve este producto hace mucho y ya tengo una reseña hablando de sus maravillas. Lo llevo utilizando una vez a la semana y he decido que no viviré sin el. Hace la diferencia con mi pelo!

Watermelon Inspired Nails

I’m all about summer colors these days and today I was inspired by some cooling watermelon colors. I had something along the lines of this in my head for a while and I really liked the contrast between matte and shiny. I hope you like it too!

Estos días para mi han sido todo sobre colores veraniegos y hoy mi inspiración fueron los colores de la sandía. En estos días había tenido en mente algo como esto y en realidad me gustó bastante el contraste entre matte y brillo. Espero que les guste a ustedes también!

Here's what I used (From left to right) / Aquí lo sue utilizé (de izquierda a derecha) :

1. Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in 02 Green With Envy

2. Milani in 84 Green Glow

3. Elf Matte Finisher

4. Sinful Colors in 314 Beautiful Girl

5. Kiss Nail Art Paint

Step 1- Base Coat

Step 2- Paint your nails a base color of green (Green with Envy) which will be your matte color.

Step 3- Paint 1/3 of your nail with the another green color (Green Glow) which will remain with shine.

Step 4- Create four dots reducing in size on the side which shall be matte.

Step 5- Place the matte topcoat over the side on which you have created the dots.

Step 6- Create the pink stripe that separates both sides.

Step 7- Place a normal top coat on the side without the dots making sure to include the stripe.

Paso 1- Base

Paso 2- Pinta tus uñas un color base de verde (Green with Envy) que será tu color matte.

Paso 3- Pinta 1/3 de tu uña con otro tono de verde (Green Glow) que será el que se mantendrá con brillo.

Paso 4- Crea cuatro puntos de grande a pequeño en el lado que será matte.

Paso 5- Coloca una mano del color matte sobre el lado donde pintaste los puntos.

Paso 6- Crea una línea separando los dos lados con el color rosado.

Paso 7- Coloca una capa final normal en el lado donde no están los puntos.

Paint Dripping Tutorial

So today I wanted to do something on my nails that featured color, just straight up color, and I remebered something I had seen on pinterest the other day. It was this picture over at Beautylish posted by Marcela F. He is my how-to on the look, hope you enjoy!

Hoy quería hacer algo en mis uñas que destacara color, solo color y me acordé de algo que había visto en pinterest en estos dias. Era esta foto posteada en Beautylish por Marcela F. Aquí mi manera de como hacerlo, espero lo disfruten!

Colors I Used for this Look / Los Colores que Usé para el Arte

From Left to Right:

1. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri  in 430 Brisk Blue
2. Bettina Nail Enamel in Art Deco Yellow
3. Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in 150 Sun Kissed
4. Sinful Colors in 871 Pink
5. Milani Neon in 504 Fresh Teal
6. Sinful Colors in 101 Snow Me White

I Used the Tip of a Pencil as a Dotting Tool / Usé la punta de un Lápiz para hacer los Diseños

• Step 1- Base Coat
• Step 2- Paint all your nails white.
• Step 3- Paint two or three random dots on your nail. I suggest working one nail at a time
• Step 4- Create a messy french manicure on the nail.
• Step 5- Conect the manicure to the dot. Make the line from the manicure to the dot to get the best look.
• Step 6 (optional)- If you want draw one more dot more to the bottom of the nail that is not connected to the manicure.
• Step 7- Top Coat
