Shu Uemura Essence Absolute Nourishing Oil-in-Cream Review

When it is not one thing it is the other and I have so many things on my mind at a time that sitting down to write something for the blog hasn’t really been an option. Primero que todo me quiero disculpar por dejar mi blog desatendido. Se me está haciendo muy difícil encontrar tiempo para mi. Cuando no es una cosa es la otra y tengo tantas cosas en mi mente a la vez que sentarme a escribir una entrada simplemente no ha sido una opción. About a month ago I was sent this product for my consideration and today I want to let you guys know my thoughts on Shu Uemura Essence Absolute Nourishing Oil-in-Cream. This is a new product to Shu Uemura’s Art of Hair Line and I was very excited to be able to test it out so early in the game. They describe it as a a nourishing leave-in cream for coarse, unruly hair. It is infused with Camelia oil which is the ingredient that gives it it’s nourishing and shine properties and is also a natural detangler. Shu Uemura claims this cream will provide ultra-shine and softness, humidity resistance and frizz-control, nutrition and deep conditioning, heat styling protection, ease of detangling & blow-dry, all in a non-greasy formulation. It also provides UV protection and is safe on color-treated hair. These claims and benefits seem endless!

Hace alrededor de un mes me enviaron este producto para mi consideración y hoy les quería dejar saber lo que pienso al respecto de la crema Shu Uemura Essence Absolute Nourishing Oil-in-Cream. Este es un producto nuevo de Shu Uemura y me emocionó mucho el poder probarlo tan temprano en el mercado. Lo describen como una crema nutritiva para el pelo grueso y dificil de controlar. Esta lleno de aceite Camelia que es un ingrediente que nutre, da brillo al pelo y desenreda naturalmente. Shu Uemura alega que esta crema provee super-brillo, suavidad, resistencia a la humedad y control de rizo, hidratación profunda, protección de calor, facilidad de desenredar y secar, todo en una formula no grasosa. También provee protección solar y se puede utilizar en pelo teñido. Estas alegaciones y beneficios no parecen acabar!

As I already mentioned I got this product about a month + ago so I’ve had my time to try it out. I use this everytime I wash my hair, applying it while it is still damp and following it up with my Proclaim oil. I am still using my Proclaim oil because my hair has been really dry and the oil-in-cream alone did not provide me with the moisture I needed. However, while it is not hydrating enough for me it gives my hair shine, makes it feel really soft and there is never a frizz in sight. My hair is mostly naturally straight and even I noticed less fly-aways. The greatest difference it had on my hair was how soft it felt as I ran my fingers through it and when I blow dry it it has more bounce. Last but not least it smells really delicate and wonderful. The product retails for $45.00 for 5fl ounces which is a good amount seeing as you don’t have to use much of it. About a good dime sized amount is enough to run through medium length hair. I start at the tips when my hair is damp and run it up. All-in-all I recommend the product, it is not the miracle do-it-all product that they make it out to be but it for sure does a great job on a good amount of the claims.

Como ya mencione llevo con el producto al rededor de un mes + así que he tenido tiempo para probarlo. Lo utilizo cada vez que me lavo el pelo, aplicandolo cuando aún esta mojado y lo sigo con mi aceite Proclaim. Todavía uso el aceite Proclaim porque mi pelo ha estado muy reseco y la crema solo no lo hidrata lo suficiente. Sin embargo, aunque no me brinda suficiente hidratación le da a mi pelo mucho brillo, lo hace sentir muy suave y no se encrespa en lo absoluto. Mi pelo es naturalmente bastante liso y aun así he notado la diferencia en cuanto a los “fly-aways”. La mayor diferencia que ha hecho con mi pelo es cuan suave se siente cuando paso mis dedos por el y cuando lo seco tiene mas vida y volumen. Por último tiene un aroma delicado, sutil y maravilloso. El producto se vende a $45.00 por una botella de 5fl oz. lo cual es bastante ya que no tienes que usar mucho. Como una cantidad del tamaño de una canica pequeña basta para mi pelo largo. Comienzas en las puntas y lo corres hacia arriba. Finalmente, recomiendo el producto, no es el producto milagroso que lo hace todo como lo describen pero hace un buen trabajo en la mayoría de las cosas que alega.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Review

Today I will be raving about yet another wonderful product that I’ve recently discovered. I recently purchased Aussies’s 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Treatment and it took only two uses to convince me that I loved it. About a month ago I decided to play a bit with my hair and got highlights throughout. My hair is naturally dark brown so this meant bleaching my hair, in some part it was already bleached so this meant even more damage. I’ve been growing out my hair and I really want to keep it healthy but this last bleaching really messed with my tips. So on my search for a deep conditioning treatment I came across wonderful reviews for this product and decided I had to pick it up.

Hoy estaré hablando sobre un producto más que he descubierto recientemente. Recientemente compré Aussie’s 3 Minute Miracle Tratamiento Profundo y solo me tomó usarlo dos veces para convencerme que lo amaba. Hace como un mes decidí jugar un poco con mi pelo y hacerme “highlights” en todo. Mi pelo es naturalmente marrón oscuro y  esto significó decolorarme el pelo hasta en algunas partes que ya estaba decolorado lo que le causó más daño aún. Estoy tratando crecer mi pelo largo y mantenerlo saludable pero esta última decoloración le causó mucho daño a mis puntas. Así que en mi búsqueda por un tratamiento humectante para mi cabello me topé con muchas buenas reseñas de este producto y me decidí que tenía que tratarlo.

There is not much to say other than it does what it says. It offers deep conditioning to dry damage hair. By no means did it fix my split ends but it made my hair feel soft and stronger. You know how when your ends are dry your fingers get stuck at the end when you run them through your hair? After using this that didn’t happen anymore and that was my ultimate test. I have fine hair which can be weighed down easily by product like these and this did not do that. My hair felt stronger, healthier and almost a bit thicker. I like the coconut-y smell and it stays all day.

No hay mucho que decir de este producto mas que hace lo que dice. Ofrece acondicionamiento profundo a el cabello reseco y dañado. No estoy diciendo que arreglo milagrosamente mis puntas pero si hizo que mi cabello se sintiera mas suave y fuerte. ¿Sabes como se trancan los dedos en las puntas del cabello cuando los corres por el pelo cuando esta reseco? Después de utilizar esto eso dejo de sucedes y esa fue mi mayor prueba de que si hace la diferencia. Tengo pelo fino que puede sentirse pesado con estos productos pero este no fue el caso. Mi cabello se sintió mas fuerte, saludable y en cierta forma un poco mas grueso. También me gusta el olor a coco que se siente todo el día.

I use this product about once a week to give it a boost. I think you could certainly use it everyday but I want to make sure that my hair doesn’t get used to it. I like to leave it in for much more than three minutes for a real deep conditioning and it has worked wonderfully. In conjunction with my other hair products I think this will definitely help keep my hair feeling healthy and help it on it’s journey to length. Mi goal is to have it grow enough so that I can donate it.

Utilizo este producto como una vez en semana para darle un “boost”. Probablemente se podría usar siempre que laves el pelo pero quiero asegurarme que mi pelo no se acostumbre a el y pierda el efecto. Me gusto dejarlo en el cabello por mas tiempo del recomendado para una humectación extra y ha trabajado muy efectivamente. En conjunto con el resto de mis productos de pelo creo que esto definitivamente ayudará a mantener mi pelo saludable y a que pueda crecer más. Mi meta es que crezca lo suficiente para poder donarlo.

What I Wore...Wedding Edition

As some of you may now, I had a cousin's wedding to attend last Saturday so I thought I'd show you what I wore. I wanted a really classy, sweet look and I really love how everything tied together. Beware! This post is picture heavy!

I accompanied the dress with this little black bag that my mother so graciously let me borrow and these lovely black pumps from Traffic Shoes.

Earrings were, again, borrowed from my mother and I do not remember where I got the bracelet. The necklace is a sapphire birthstone color necklace from Forever Crystals.

Lastly, a close-up of ma' head! I got the makeup inspiration from this picture on pinterest. For my hair I kept it up with a messy bun done by first putting my hair up in rollers to give it volume, then putting it in a messy side fishtail braid and lastly, pinning it into a bun. I also curled a couple of pieces that hung out and pinned them loosely back.

Por último un "close-up" the mi cabeza! La inspiración para el maquillaje fue tomada de esta foto en pinterest. El pelo lo recogí con un peinado un poco despreocupado. Primero le di volumen a mi cabello al ponerlo en rolos, luego hice una trenza estilo "fishtail" y por último, fije la trenza en un rodete (bun).

My Miracle Hair Product...Proclaim Glossing Polish

I’m going to be sharing with you my most repurchased (though I’ve only repurchased once, I’m counting future purchases too), most loved, holliest of holy grail products that I just couldn’t live without. I seriously mean that I could take not having makeup or nail polishes, but I could not take having to live without this. I’m talking about Proclaim’s Glossing Polish with Olive Oil. I know it might sound like I’m exagerating but you have no idea what I have gone through with my hair and how much finding this product helped.

Voy a estar compartiendo con ustedes el producto más valioso para mi, que compro uno y otra vez, ese producto que simplemente no me puede faltar. Seriamente podría vivir sin mi maquillaje, sin mis esmaltes pero no podría sin esto. Hablo de el abrillantador para el cabello con Aceite de Oliva de Proclaim. Sé que puede sonar como si exagerara pero no tienen idea de los problemas que he tenido con mi pelo y como toparme con este producto me ayudo.

I first came across a good three years ago, when a friend’s mom said her stylist had recommended it for her to promote hair growth and strength. I had been having so many problems with my hair just being brittle and I was actually experiencing noticeable hair loss (I was around 16-17 at the time!) so I decided to give it a try too. 

It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with it. It is formulated with olive oil, vitamin E and silicone and claims to help revive dry, damaged hair, restore moisture balance and add lustrous shine. Well it does just that, it’s made my hair stronger and more moisturized so I don’t have to cut my ends that often because of dryness giving it a real chance to grow. Most days I let my hair air dry which used to mean lots of frizz but this makes my hair look absolutely flowy and shiny without need to do anything to it. 

I apply it to my hair when damp or after I’ve dried it to give back some shine. I had tried these types of serums before but they always left my fine hair looking just that, oily. This is my miracle hair product and I’m just now at my SECOND bottle since I first purchased it three years ago so at $7.99 for a 6oz. bottle that last as long as it does it is a steal! I have been thinking about trying out moroccan oil which I’ve heard wonders about but I just can’t think about loving anything more than this.

La primera vez que me topé con este producto fue hace unos tres años cuando la madre de una de mis amigas me comentó que su estilista se lo había recomendado para promover crecimiento y fortaleza del cabello. Estaba teniendo muchos problemas de fragilidad y pérdida de cabello (solo tenía como 16 o 17 años!) así que decidí que valdría la pena intentarlo. 

No tomó mucho tiempo para enamorarme de el. Esta formulado con aceite de oliva, vitamina E y silicona y alega que ayuda a revivir el cabello reseco y dañado y a hidratar y añadir brillo al cabello. Pues, hace justo eso, a hecho mi cabello mas fuerte y mas humectado así no tengo que preocuparme tanto por puntas resecas que cortar y le doy oportunidad a crecer. La mayoría de los días dejo que mi pelo seque naturalmente, lo que usualmente significaba que se encrespaba, pero esto hace que mi cabello luzca brilloso y fluido sin tener que hacer nada mas con el. 

Lo aplico a mi cabello mojado o después de secar para añadirle el brillo que perdió. Había utilizado este tipo de producto antes pero siempre me dejaban el cabello grasoso y pesado. Este es mi producto milagroso y solo ahora es que voy por mi segundo botella desde que comencé a utilizarlo hace tres años, así que por solo $7.99 por una botella de 6oz., ¡es un éxito! He estado pensando en intentar el tratamiento moroccan oil pero no puedo pensar que haya algo más que me encante tanto.
