theBalm Nude 'tude Review

Today I have a review for you guys about a product that you probably have heard about everywhere if you are active in the blog and/or youtube scene. It is theBalm's Nude 'tude palette and let me tell you from the get go this will be me raving about it.

How les traigo una reseña sobre un producto del cual probablemente ya han escuchado si están activos en el mundo de blogger y/o youtube. Es la paleta Nude 'tude de theBalm y déjame decirles desde ahora que estaré hablando maravillas de la paleta.

I'll start of raving about the absolutely cute packaging, from the eye catching design on the outside to the "risqué" women in the inside. Isn't it cute how the shadows cover the girls' naughty parts? The palette is sturdy and has a nice magnetic closure which makes it great for traveling purposes. It also has a nice big mirror and a double sided liner/shadow brush that can come in handy.

Empezaré hablando maravillas de el empaque, desde el diseño en la parte de afuera hasta las mujeres picantes en la parte de adentro. ¿No es ingenioso como las sombras tapan las partes privadas de las mujeres? La paleta es fuerte y tiene una clausura magnética que la hace segura para viajar. También tiene un espejo grande y una broca de dos lados (delineador/sombra) que pueden ser útiles.

Now lets talk about the shadows. These shadows are a joy to swatch. They are so smooth, buttery and pigmented. The palette has a nice range of light to dark colors and also matte to shimmery/pearly finishes which in my opinion makes for a very well rounded palette. With some shadows you do get a bit of fallout when applying it but nothing that really bothers me. I love how the white shade (sassy) swatches as pigmented as the black (serious). Overall, this is a really nice neutral palette great for everyday use but also versatile enough to be able to create smoky night out looks. You can purchase this palette on theBalm's site for $36 or my preferred method is waiting for a sale on Hautelook where you can get it for the reduced price of $18 which is a steal.

Ahora hablemos de las sombras. Son maravillosas a la hora de tomar las muestras. Son lisas, mantequillosas y pigmentadas. La paleta tiene una buena gama de colores claros a oscuros y de acabados brillosos/perlados a matte que hacen de la paleta una muy completa. Con algunas sombras puedes tener un poco de caída pero nada que realmente me moleste. Me encanta como la sombre blanca (sassy) se demuestra igual que pigmentada que la negra (serious). En fin, esta paleta neutral es excelente para uso diario pero lo suficientemente versátil para poder también crear "looks" para una salida en la noche. Puedes obtener esta paleta en la página de theBalm a $36 o mi método favorita que es esperar por una venta en Hautelook donde puedes conseguirlo por el precio reducido de $18 que es una ganga.

Sephora Favorites in The Glow Set

Hey guys! I wanted to do this quick (picture heavy) post as a small little review of Sephora's In The Glow Set. This is a set of some samples of Sephora's "favorite" products for highlighting, bronzer and blush. Im sorry to say this product is already out of stock on the Sephora site but if you can get it in store I really do recommend it either for yourself or as a nice gift. You get 9 good-sized samples of really great quality products, 3 of each category. A set like this is great for someone like me that can't afford buying a full size of each of these products. This way I get to try them out and when they run out, which I'm sure will be a while since they are generous samples, I can make and educated choice as to which I would really like to invest my hard-earned money on.

Hola! Quería escribir esta entrada corta (y repleta de fotos) de una pequeña reseña de el set de Sephora In the Glow. Este set incluye unas muestras de los productos "favoritos" de Sephora iluminadores, bronceadores y rubores. Siento decir que este producto ya no esta disponible en la página de Sephora pero si aún se puede conseguir en la tienda definitivamente lo recomiendo sea para uno mismo o para regalar. Trae 9 muestras generosas de productos de excelente calidad, 3 de cada categoría. Un set como este es muy bueno para alguien como yo que no tiene el dinero para comprar el tamaño regular de cada uno de estos productos. De esta manera puedo probarlos y cuando se acaben, que no creo que pasé en un buen tiempo ya que las muestras son bastante generosas, puedo tomar una decisión educada en cuanto en que producto de tamaño regular estaría dispuesta a gastar mi dinero.

the Mega Plush Volum' Express Review

Once again I invite you to join me on my never-ending mascara trial. Mascara has got to be one of my favorite makeup items and since it has such a short shelf life ans I go through it like crazy I'm always trying something new. The last one I picked up was Maybelline's New the Mega Plush Volum' Express in Very Black. I am pleased to say it is another good one to add to the list.

Una vez mas les invito a acompañarme en mi búsqueda de nuevas y mejores mascaras. La mascara tiene que ser uno de mis productos favoritos de belleza y como dura tan poco tiempo y la uso tan rápidamente siempre estoy probando una nueva. La última que decidí probar fue la nueva the Mega Plush Volum' Express de Maybelline en Very Black y me place decir que es otra buena para añadir a la lista.

Let's start with the pretty packaging that of course immediately won me over just because it's in my favorite color. It is a gel mousse formula that claims to never make your lashes feel brittle. The formula is very light and glides over my lashes smoothly and effortlessly. I did not get the waterproof one, which worried me because I had heard that it transfers, but with Puerto Rico's humid hot climate and my oily eyelids I had no problem with this. This mascara does not give the "massive supple volume" it claims but it gives me massive seperation and definition without ever clumping. It give my lashes a natural looking boost for everyday wear. As for the for the flexible brush, I have to say I'm not fond of it. The formula itself is so light that it makes me wish the brush was a little stiffer because applying it is a bit awkward with the way it moves.

Empezemos con el empaque que por supuesto me enamoró ya que es mi color favorito. La fórmula es un "gel mousse" que afirma no dejar tus pestañas frágiles o quebradizas. La fórmula es liviana y corre por mis pestañas suavemente y sin esfuerzo. No la compre a prueba de agua lo que me preocupaba porque había escuchado que se riega fácilmente, sin embargo, no tuve este problema aun con el clima caluroso y húmedo de Puerto Rico y mis párpados grasosos. La mascara no da el volumen masivo que promete pero si me da separación y definicíon sin aglomerarse. Le da a mis pestañas un aumento que luce natural para el uso diario. En cuanto al aplicador flexible, tengo que decir que no soy su fan número uno. La fórmula en sí es tan liviana que desearía que el aplicador fuera un poco mas duro porque al ser tan flexible hace el proceso de aplicarla un poco extraño por la manera que se mueve.

 

Finally, I will gladly continue using this product day to day. It gives my lashes just what they need for a natural look and it makes them really dark also. I would change the brush, but nothing is perfect in this world and the gel mousse formula certainly makes up for it.

En fin, continuaré usando esta mascara con gusto para mi día a día. Le otorga a mis pestañas justo lo que necesitan para un "look" natural y las oscure perfectamente. Cambiaría el aplicador, pero, nada es perfecto en este mundo y la fórmula liviana recompensa esa falla.

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Pen Review

Finally found a bit of time to write something and keep the blog up and running! My God!, my professors this semester started strong and have got me swamped with work. It is a bit frustrating because I have a couple of blogs in my mind I need to write but it is so hard to find the time to write them. That being said, I bring you today a product review and I am sad to say it is not a good one. A while ago I picked up at Walgreens this Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen. I've tried it a couple of times and I can't get to liking it even a lil' bit.

Finalmente encontré un poco the tiempo para escribir algo! Mis profesores este semestre llegaron listos para matar y me tienen con un trabajo tras otro! Es bastante frustrante ya que tengo muchas ideas para escribir pero se me hace difícil encontrar el tiempo para llevarlas a cabo. Pero pasando al tema de importancia, hoy les traigo una reseña del Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen de Revlon. Lo he utilizado varias veces y no encuentro la manera de que me guste ni un poquito. 

Let me get straight to the point, in my opinion this product is a waste of money. I really dislike products like this because, the packaging is good, it doesn't have an unpleasant smell, the felt tip is decent for getting thinner as well as thicker lines but the product itself sucks. I'm aware "sucks" is a strong word but for something that has everything going for it for the actual product to not work at all just makes me mad. The formula is watery and doesn't appear as blackest black at all. It last nothing on your lid and if you try to make the line darker by passing it over again it kind of removes the previous line. Revlon is my favorite drugstore brand but it has let me down with this product. I know this product might work for some of you as products always do, but this is my experience with it so I wouldn't recommend it.

Déjame ir directo al punto, es mi opinión que este producto es una pérdida de dinero. Los productos así no me gustan para nada porque, el empaque es bueno, no tiene un mal olor, el aplicador es decente para hacer lineas mas finas y mas gruesas a la vez pero el producto como tal no sirve. Decir que no sirve puede sonar un poco drástico pero todo le va bien al producto excepto el producto como tal. La fórmula es aguada y no luce como el "blackest black" para nada. No dura en tu párpado y si tratas de hacer la línea mas oscura pasándole por encima de nuevo simplemente como que remueve la línea anterior. Revlon es mi línea de maquillaje favorita pero me decepciono con este producto. Sé que este delineador pueda funcionar para algunas personas, como suelen hacer los productos, pero mi experiencia fue esta y  definitivamente no lo recomendaría.

Loreal Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner Review

Today I bring you yet another review, this time of Loreal's Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner. I picked this up the last week of July and it made my July favorites list, so you can imagine. I have the one in Carbon Black which has a smudger at the opposite end and I absolutely plan to pick it up in different colors.

Hoy les traigo otra reseña, esta vez de el lapiz delineador Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner de Loreal. Compré esto la última semana de julio y logró formas parte de mi lista de favoritos, así que se pueden imaginar. Lo tengo en el color Carbon Black que tiene un "smudger" en el lado opuesto, para difuminar cuando necesario,  pero definitivamente pienso obtenerlo en otros colores.

Let's cut to the chase, I love love love this eyeliner. I've been trying out different eyeliners for a while  and this one by far has worked the best. I don't expect anything extremely long wearing for my water-line because nothing ever really stays there that long, but this held up a bit more than usual, and it was more fading than actual traveling and smudging. However, the real test for me are my extremely oily eyelids and let me tell you, I APROVE! I had tried doing a normal close to the lash line line with this and it works well, but the other day I wanted to do a pretty red lip and winged eyeliner look. For this type of look I usually turn to a liquid eyeliner but I seem to have misplaced mine. Perfect time to try out the "liquid pencil" claim right? It turned out wonderfully! This pencil really has a liquid eyeliner effect and the best part is that it doesn't budge. It is really soft so it doesn't pull on your lid, however, keep in mind that because it is so soft it wears down fast so you'll have to sharpen it constantly. This pencil can work for more precise looks as well as for smudging for a more smokey look because it gives you time before it sets. Safe to say I will definitely will be purchasing this again, I think I may have found my HG liner.

Vamos al punto, me encanta este delineador. He estado probando diferentes delineadores por un tiempo y este definitivamente ha sido el mejor que ha trabajado. No espero nada que dure por mucho tiempo en mi línea de agua porque nada suele quedarse mucho tiempo ahí pero este delineador duró un poco mas de lo normal y simplemente fue desvaneciendo, no regándose. La prueba real para mi fueron mis párpados extremadamente grasosos y déjame decirles que APRUEBO! Había utilizado esto como normal, con una línea fina delineando pero el otro día quería hacer un ojo de gato y unos labios rojos. Para este tipo de maquillaje suelo optar por un delineador líquido pero por alguna razón no encuentro el mío. ¿Momento perfecto para probar la parte de "delineador de lápiz líquido" verdad? Funciono muy bien. El delineador realmente da un efecto como de delineador líquido y la mejor parte es que no se corre. Es muy suave así que no hala tu párpado, aunque, al ser tan suave se gasta un poco más rápido y tendrás que sacarle punta seguidamente. También tiene la funcionalidad de precisión al igual que trabaja para maquillajes mas "smokey" porque te da tiempo antes de secarse por completo. Seguro decir que volveré a comprarlo, incluso puede ser que allá encontrado en el un delineador que se convierte casi en un producto de necesidad.

Zip Me Up in Pink Pearls

As I’m sure I’ve already stated here my favorite color is turquoise, but I don’t know what it is that these days I’ve just been obsessed with pinks and purples. Well, this sunday I was going out with my family as we always do and I decided I wanted to play a bit with all-over lid colors so I wandered into my mother’s makeup stash and this Lancome Color Design Sensational Effects Eye Shadow QUAD won me over. I felt like a little kid playing around with her mother’s “only for adults” makeup, but oh well, I’ll have to settle with borrowing my mother’s until someday I can afford some of my own.

Como probablemente ya les he mencionado mi color favorito es el turquesa, pero no se que me ha pasado en estos días que he estado obsesionada con los rosas y violetas. Este Domingo que me preparaba para salir con mi familia como usualmente lo hago decidí que quería experimentar un poco con color por todo el párpado y me encaminé a la gaveta de maquillajes de mi madre donde encontré este Lancome Color Design Sensational Effects QUAD de Sombras. Me sentí como una niña pequeña jugando con el maquillaje “solo para adultos” de mami, pero, que mas da, tengo que conformarme con esto hasta que algún día yo pueda permitirme el lujo de gastar en ellos.

As they appear / Como aparecen:
-Makeover    -Pink Pearls
   -Zip Me Up   -Sultry Mauve

I used the purple metallic shade (Zip me Up) all over the lid and applied pink metallic shade (Makeover) on the outer third of my lid and moved it up into the crease. I then took the matte mauve shade (Sultry Mauve) and did sort of a cut crease but not too defined applying it just over my natural crease. Next, I took the lightest matte shade and applied in the inner corner and as a highlight. Lastly, I took a pencil brush and put the Makeover in the inner half of my lower lash line and Zip me Up in the outer half. I kept the blush natural using mostly bronzer to play up my tan and just a bit of blush, both from the Elf Blush & Bronzing Duo. My foundation was a light application of my Revlon ColorStay in Natural Tan, the lips were Maybelline Baby Lips in Grape Vine and the mascara was my Rimmel Sexy Curves (review).

Utilicé el color violeta metálico (Zip me Up) por todo el párpado y apliqué el rosa metálico en un tercio de la parte exterior del párpado, también lo difuminé por el pligue del párpado. Después tomé el color malva y hice algo como un “cut crease” pero no muy definido, aplicando un poco por encima del pliegue natural de mi párpado. Lo siguiente fue aplicar el color mas claro en la esquina interior de mis ojos y como iluminador debajo de las cejas. Por último coloqué Makeover en la mitad interior de la parte de abajo de mis ojos y Zip me up en la parte exterior. Lo mantuve bastante natural con el rubor, utilizando más bronceador que todo y solo un poco de blush del Elf Brush & Bronzing Duo. Para la base solo apliqué muy poco de mi Revlon ColorStay, en mis labios llevaba Maybelline Baby Lips en Grape Vine y la mascara era mi Rimmel Sexy Curves (reseña).

I really liked the look and it frustrated me a bit that my camera couldn’t pick up quite the intensity of the shadow on my lids. These shadows are amazing, incredibly pigmented and though intense did not over power my eyes. They lasted perfectly and make me even sadder that my pocket just can’t afford them, but someday I will, you just wait and see.

Me gustó mucho esta combinación y me frustra un poco que mi cámara no pueda capturar la intensidad de estas sombras justo como son. Las sombras son increíbles, muy opacas e intensas sin ser demasiado. Duraron perfectamente y me hacen más tristes todavía de saber que no dispongo del dinero para comprarlas, pero algún día podré, solo esperen a ver.

How to...Clean your brushes.

I must confess, I too am guilty of leaving my makeup brushes without a good cleansing for too long. I know it’s horrible exposing my face to all that bacteria, dirt and dead skin cells. The thing is cleaning them is an easy task but I hate having to wait for them to dry, what if I need them? I haven’t been going out much these days, meaning no need to wear makeup, and my skin has been rebelling on me a bit so today I finally got off my lazy ass and cleaned them. I’m gonna show you the best way I’ve found to clean them and just how easy it is.

Debo confesar que yo también he cometido el error de dejar mis brochas sin lavar por demasiado tiempo. Lo sé es horrible exponer a mi piel a todas esas bacterias, sucio y células muertas. El problema para mi no es lavarlas es el tener que esperar que sequen, ¿y si las necesito? Pues, no he estado saliendo mucho estos días lo que quiere decir que no he estado utilizando mucho maquillaje y mi piel se ha estado rebelando en mi contra un poco así que hoy decidí dejar la flojera y lavarlos. Les voy a enseñar la mejor forma que yo he encontrado para lavarlos y lo fácil que es.

What you will need / Lo que necesitaras:

Now on to cleaning / Ahora a limpiar:

Step 1- Prepare a plate with 50/50 olive oil and anti-bacterial dish soap.

Step 2- Wet your brush so that it is moist but not soaking wet.

Step 4- Pick up some of the soap/olive oil mixture with your brush.

Step 5- Have your water running at a luke-warm temperature.

Step 6- Lather up your brush wiping it on your hand. Rinse out your hand every once in a while and continue lathering up your brush you can see little to no makeup residue coming out of the brush.

Step 7- Rinse the brush under the water avoiding the barrel because if water gets in there it can loosen the glue which holds the bristles. Continues rinsing until the water that leaves your brush when you squeeze it out come out clear.

Step 8- Press the sides of your brush against a towel to remove the excess water, as you do this shape the brush.

Step 9- Lay it down somewhere where there is good airflow (like near a window), but not direct sunlight. Leave it overnight to dry.

Step 10- Repeat with the rest of your brushes.

Paso 1- Prepara un plato con una mezcla 50/50 de aceite de oliva y líquido de fregar anti-bacterias.

Paso 2- Humedezca la brocha.

Paso 4- Recoge un poco de la mezcla de aceite de oliva/líquido de fregar con la brocha.

Paso 5- Ten agua tibie corriendo.

Paso 6- Enjuaga la brocha pasándola por tu mano. Enjuaga la mano con agua de vez en cuando y continua enjuagando la brocha hasta que la espuma que proviene de la brocha salga sin residuos de maquillaje.

Paso 7- Enjuaga la brocha bajo el agua asegurando de no mojar el barril porque si se mete agua adentro se puede soltar la pega que sostiene el pelo de la brocha. Continua enjuagando hasta que el agua que se escapa de la brocha salga clara.

Paso 8- Presiona los lados de la brocha contra la toalla para remover el exceso de agua, mientras hagas esto dale forma a la brocha.

Paso 9- Coloque la brocha recostada en algún lugar donde fluya el aire (como cerca de una ventana) pero no directo bajo el sol.

Paso 10- Repita con el resto de las brochas.

The real test is my dense foundation brush. / La verdadera prueba es mi brocha para base.

As you can see it’s rather easy, I’m just lazy. This should be done every 1 to 2 weeks depending on how frequently you use your brushes. Really it probably took you longer to read this post than it will take you to clean the brushes, so no excuses right?

Como pueden ver es bastante fácil limpiarlas yo solo soy un poco vaga. Esto se debe hacer de cada semana o dos depende de cuan frecuentemente utilizas tus brochas. En realidad probablemente le tomo mas tiempo leer esto que limpiar las brochas, así que ya no deberían haber excusas.

Rimmel Sexy Curves Review / Fav Mascara Combo

Today I will be raving about my current favorite mascara/mascara combo. I’m talking about Rimmel’s Sexy Curves Mascara. I picked this up a good while ago on a whim because Rimmel was %40 or maybe even %50 off, I don’t quite remember, at my local Walgreens. This mascara claims to give you 70% curlier and 7x fuller lashes, all of this with a 12 hour hold. It also claims to strengthen your lashes over time for a lash boosting effect (read complete claim here).

Hoy les hablaré un poco sobre la mascara y la combinación de mascaras que me tiene enamorada actualmente. Hablo sobre la Sexy Curves mascara de Rimmel. Un día que Rimmel estaba a %40 o %50, no estoy muy segura, de descuento en Walgreens y decidí comprarlo solo porque sí. Rimmel alega que esta mascara te dará pestañas %70 más rizadas y 7 veces más rellenas, todo esto con una capacidad de sostenerse por 12 horas. También alega que fortalece tus pestañas con el tiempo para un efecto estimulante a las pestañas.

Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara in 003 Extreme Black

First of all, I love the bright purple packaging just like I like their similar moisture renew lipstick packaging. The formula is not overly dry or too wet like you would get if it was a Loreal mascara, so I find that you get the perfect effect out of a freshly open tube and there is no need to let it dry out a bit like I’ve had to do with some mascaras before. I must admit, I don’t get the purpose of the strangely looking brush, but it really doesn’t do anything negative for it, it doesn’t make it awkward to put on or makes it difficult to coat all your lashes. The brush is flexible and I like that it has short rubber bristles which work well at coating and separating nicely my lashes. But here goes the reason which makes me love this mascara the most, it definitely lifts and curls my lashes beautifully, not to mention it holds the curve amazingly! By amazingly I mean ALL day. I’m not claiming it gives me perfect lashes, because it does leave me a little to want in the fullness department but it gives me beautiful slightly longer than natural lashes for everyday.

Primero que todo me encanta el empaque violeta como el de sus pintalabios de la linea moisture renew. La fórmula de la mascara no es ni muy seca ni muy húmeda como he experimentado antes con algunas mascaras de Loreal, así que obtienes el efecto perfecto de un tubo acabado de abrir sin la necesidad de dejar que seque un poco antes de utilizarla. Tengo que admitir que no entiendo el objetivo de la forma extraña del aplicador pero no otorga nada negativo a la mascara ya que no hace extraña o difícil la aplicación. Pero ahora, la razón principal por la cual me encanta esta mascara, ¡levanta y riza mis pestañas muy bien y aguanta el rizo increíblemente! Al decir increíble me refiero que por el día COMPLETO. No estoy diciendo que me da las pestañas perfectas porque me deja algo que desear en el departamento de volumen, pero me da una pestañas un poquito mas largas de lo natural y hermosas para uso diario.

My Lashes with Rimmel Sexy Curves

I mentioned that it does leave a little to want in the fullness department and my solution for that has become my favorite mascara combo. After applying two coats of my Sexy Curves mascara I like to apply one coat of Covergirl’s Lash Blast Volume mascara. This combination gives me the most amazing lashes mascara has ever given me, if Rimmel Sexy Curves wasn’t enough reason to rave for THIS combo definately is! Lash Blast Volume gives me the volume Sexy Curves is missing and with three coats of mascara my lashes don’t droop or feel stiff. Did I already say I love these together!?

Mencioné que la mascara le falta algo con respecto al volumen que otorga y mi solución para esa falla se ha convertido en mi combinación favorita de mascaras. Después de aplicar dos capas de Sexy Curves me gusta aplicar una capa más de la mascara Lash Blast Volume de Covergirl. Esta combinación me da las pestañas más increíbles que me ha dado una mascara en mi vida! Si Sexy Curves no era mascara suficiente para poner por la nubes esta combinación definitivamente lo es! Lash Blast Volume otorga el volumen que le falta a Sexy Curves y con tres capas de mascara mis pestañas no decaen o se sienten rígidas. ¿¡Ya les dije que me encanta esta combinación?!

Revlon Smoky Shadow Stick Review

Today’s featured product is Revlon’s Colorstay Smoky Shadow Stick in 201 Torch. This is yet another of revlon’s newest products which I just knew I had to try out. Like most of the stuff I try out I only picked up one of it since my budget is pretty limited (damn college life!), and I decided for this one in Torch which just seemed more my type of neutral colors.

El producto de hoy es la nueva sombra para párpados en barra efecto ahumado de Revlon en el color Torch. Este es solo uno de los nuevos productos de Revlon que tenía que probar. Como la mayoría de productos nuevos que pruebo solo pude comprar uno ya que mi presupuesto es un poco limitado (¡maldita vida de universitario!) y me decidí por este en Torch.

Revlon Smoky Shadow Stick in 201 Torch

This one in particular is a combination of light pink/dark brown. They are both extremely pigmented and slightly frosty. The pink is a wonderful champagne-y color and the brown is incredibly rich. They apply smoothly and blend effortlessly though you have to be careful not to blend too much or the color can disappear on you. Once you apply it you should not take long to blend because when it sets it will not budge which makes this product great to be used not only as a shadow but as a shadow base.

Este en particular es una combinación de rosa claro/marrón oscuro. Ambos tienen buena pigmentación y un poco de escarcha. El rosa es un color medio champaña y el marrón es muy saturado y rico. Aplican lisos y son fácil de combinar pero hay que tener cuidado de no difuminar demasiado porque el color puede desaparecer. Después de aplicado no puedes esperar demasiado en difuminarlo porque cuando se fija el color no se va a mover de ahí. Estas cualidades hacen de este producto no solo una buena sombra pero una buena base para sombra.

However there was something that disappointed me about this product, as you can see in the swatches the colors are beautiful but the pink doesn't translate as well on my eyelids. I guess this is just because of my coloring and being that the color is not that intense, but the brown color shows up wonderfully. I do really like the product though it’s not really my cup of tea. I will use it because I like it, but given the rest of the colors I have to choose from I don’t think I’ll feel the need to pick up any more. I’m so excited about all these new products from Revlon and to keep trying more!

Sin embargo hubo algo que me decepcionó un poco de este producto, como pueden ver las muestras de colores se ven hermosas pero el rosa no luce igual en mis párpados. Entiendo que esto es por mi color y que el rosa en sí no es muy intenso pero el marrón oscuro luce increíble. Me gustó mucho el producto aunque en realidad no es lo mío. Lo continuaré utilizando porque me gusta pero dado los colores que tengo para escoger no creo que sienta la necesidad de obtener alguno otro. ¡Estoy tan emocionada con estos nuevos productos de Revlon y con continuar probando más!

FOTD Father's Day Edition!

Happy Father’s Day! I know I’ve been MIA this week but I’ve been in the process of fixing up my new college apartment and a couple other things. All in all it’s been a pretty busy week, I’m exhausted and I just haven’t been able to find the time to sit down and write something. This is not to say I haven’t thought about it and have a couple ideas lined up so this week you’ll be seeing quite a bit of me.

What better way to kick things off again than with my first Face of the Day, Father’s Day Edition? It has been SOOOOO hot here in  Puerto Rico and for just a small family dinner I kept my makeup to a minimum.

Feliz Día de los Padres! Se que he estado un poco perdida esta semana pero he estado preparando un nuevo apartamento mas unas cositas mas. Entre todo he estado bastante ocupada, estoy exhausta y simplemente no he podido encontrar el tiempo para sentarme a escribir. My Makeup Travel Bag

For a lot of us summer comes hand in hand with summer trips. I took a small vacation a little while ago to Ohio and as I was packing the hardest thing for me to pack was my makeup. I mean, for most of us girls packing is never easy but I had such a hard time picking what makeup to take without taking too much, and I think I probably still overdid it a bit. I though that showing you what I took would help some of you out when you are packing that makeup travel bag.

Para muchos de nosotros el verano viene acompañado de viajes, sean locales o internacionales. Hace poco tomé unas pequeñas vacaciones a Ohio y mientras empacaba lo más difícil que se me hizo fue empacar mi maquillaje. Cierto es que para la mayoría de nosotras las mujeres empacar nunca es algo fácil pero no pensé que se me haría tan difícil escoger que maquillaje llevar conmigo sin llevar demasiado y aun así creo que tal vez se me fue la mano un poco. Gosh! After I put it on a list it really seems like too much! I’ll explain why I chose some of these products. The ecotools kabuki brush is not the only brush I travel with ( I also take the Mrs. Bunny set from Sigma) but I keep this one in the bag for those cases where you have to take the bag and run out the door. I take these three blushes because I find that carrying a nice pinky blush, a coral and a nude works for most neutral looks and the bronzer is my favorite for contouring. Within these two mascaras I have a natural look and combining them, a glamorous look to my eyelashes. These lipstick and lip glosses make for  various looks depending how I combine them and I always like to have the option of one bright lip color. Lastly, all of the eyeshadows work well together so I can get various different but fairly neutral looks. But does it fit in my travel bag from Clinique?

Dios mío! Después de poner todo esto en una lista si que me parece demasiado! Explicaré porque escogí alguno de estos productos. La brucha de ecotools no es la única brucha que llevo conmigo (también llevo el Mrs. Bunny set de Sigma) pero mantengo esta en la bolsa para cuando tienes que agarrar el maquillaje e irte. Llevo estos ‘blushes’ porque encuentro que un rosita, un coral y un color mas neutral trabajan bien con más colores de sombras y el bronceador es my favorito para darle forma a la cara. Con estas dos mascaras tengo un ‘look’ natural y uno mas glamoroso para mis pestañas. Los pintalabios y brillos me proveen muchos colores de los que escoger depende de como los combine y siempre me gusta llevar por lo menos un color brillante. Por último, todas las sombras trabajan bien combinadas entre sí para darme muchas opciones de ‘looks’ bastante neutrales. Espero les haya ayudado! Pero todo esto cabe en la bolsa de Clinique?
