OOTDays Christmas 13'

Hey! I hope all of you had a nice Christmas! I just wanted to show you what I wore for Christmas Eve and day. Some of the stuff was featured in my most recent haul and the rest I may not even remember where I got because they were already part of my collection.

Hola! Espero que hayan pasado una bonita Navidad! Solo quería mostrarles lo que usé para Noche Buena y el día de Navidad. Algunas cosas son de mi último "haul" y el resto son cosas que ya tenía en mi colección.

Sorry for the bad quality of the makeup pictures. My computer did "better" than my camera at nighttime.
Lo siento por la mala calidad de las fotos. Mi computadora trabajó mejor en la noche que mi cámara.

For Christmas eve I went with this skirt and crop top from Forever 21 and to be a bit more covered up and warm I put on some black tights that were a gift. The black Bucco boots went perfect with the outfit and I kept it simple with the jewellery. For makeup I opted with a very smoked out matte brown smokey eye with some false lashes. I applied a more caramely brown from the lid to higher than the crease and I applied darker browns in the crease to really define the eyes. I played around with this until I got what I wanted. However, what I really wanted to feature with my makeup was this awesome vampy Revlon Black Cherry lips.

Para noche buena me decidí en utilizar esta falta y camisa corta de Forever 21 y para estar un poco mas calientita me puse estos "tights" negros que fueron un regalo. Las botas negras Bucco completan perfectamente el atuendo y lo mantuve bastante simple con los accesorios. Para el maquillaje opté por  un "smokey" eye marrón matte. Apliqué un marrón más color caramelo en todo el párpado hasta más arriba de la cuenca y después definí la cuenca con marrones más oscuros hasta que llegué al "look" deseado. Lo que realmente quería resaltar de este maquillaje eran los labios oscuros y color vino, para eso usé el color Black Cherry de Revlon.

For Christmas Day we kept it casual and just went to eat to this wonderful cuban restaurant at Condado. I went with these awesome blue jeggings from Forever 21, the blue stripped shirt I've had for a while and the classy Worthington blazer is from JCPenney. The awesome flats, which I have been obsessed with lately are from Old Navy and the accessories I've also had for a while but I believe they are from Charlotte Russe. For Christmas day instead of playing up the lips like the night before I focused on the eyes. I went with a golden and olive eye and put on a more toned down pink lip in Magenta Haze from Loreal.

Para el día de Navidad lo mantuve bastante casual ya que solo fuí a comer con mi familiar a un excelente restaurante cubano en Condado. Usé estos jeggings azules de Forever 21, la camisa de rayas la tenía de hace un tiempo y el "blazer" Worthington  es de JCPenney. Los zapatos son de Old Navy y he estado obsesionada con ellos hace tiempo y los accesorios los tengo hace un tiempo pero creo que son de Charlotte Russe. Para el maquillaje lo mantuve más sobre los ojos esta vez con un look dorado y verde oliva. Los labios los mantuve tenues con un rosa un poco mas suave en Magenta Haze de Loreal.

Lastly, my nails for these days I call my Black Cherry Rose nails. I used Bettina's Runway for solid coloured nails, Bettina's Celebrate as the base color for the nails with designs. I wanted to emulate the  stripes of the crop top on the ring finger with Runway and the roses on my thumb were created with Runway and I mixed that with white to create the different tones. The green leaves are Sinful Color's Exotic Green. I'm crazy about this mani!

Por último, para mis uñas he decidido llamar el diseño Black Cherry Rose. Utilicé el esmalta Runway de Bettina para las uñas color vino y Celebrate nuevamente de Bettina como el color base para las uñas con diseño. En el dedo anular quise emular las rayas de la camisa de noche buena con el color Runway y para hacer algo diferente en el pulgar creé esta rosas con el mismo color de las rayas mezclando con blanco para las diferentes tonalidades. Las hojas verdes fueron creadas con el color Exotic Green de Sinful Colors. Me encantó como quedaron!

Anyway, this is what I wore for these last two days. I hope you enjoyed the post and you spent wonderful days with your loved ones. I love this season, spending time with my whole family is the time of the year where I laugh the most.

FOTD & OOTD - NYE

Happy New Years! Ugh! I swore I would try to post every other day now that I have the time. I'm sorry If this post is a little more of the same but I really haven't felt like doing anything, writing anything or taking any pictures. I've just been kind of "blah" but I hope you like what I have for you today anyway.

Feliz Año Nuevo! Ugh! Dije que trataría de escribir entradas más a menudo ahora que tengo tiempo! Lo siento si esta entrada es mas de lo mismo pero realmente no he tenido ganas de hacer nada últimamente. He estado un poco "blah" pero como sea espero que les guste.

I thought you guys might like to see my New Years Eve outfit and makeup. I went with a dramatic sexy eye to go, I think, with the outfit. As for the outfit the skirt and shirt are from Charlotte Russe and the leggings were a gift so I have no idea. The shoes are the most awesomest (don't judge me for making up words) black pumps from Bakers which I got on sale for $15 (SCORE!). I kept it simple with the accessories with a necklace my dad brought me years ago from England and a ring I picked up in a random store somewhat like Claire's that I don't remember the name of.

Pensé que les gustaría ver mi atuendo para la despedida de año y mi maquillaje. Escogí hacer un ojo dramático que va con la ropa. Mi falda y blusa son de Charlotte Russe y los leggings no tengo idea porque fueron un regalo. Los zapatos son los mejores tacones negros del mundo de Bakers que los conseguí a $15 (wohoo!). Sobre los accesorios la sortija es de una tienda no común de la cual no me acuerdo el nombre y el collar es uno que mi padre me trajo de Inglaterra hace muchos años.

On the makeup is where I really expressed myself. There are not many chances that I get to make a really bold look like this so I went for it completely. For the eyes I used colors from different palettes. I used a warm medium brown on my crease taking it up a little further than usual. I used a gunmetal color all over my lid (but leaving the inner corner bare), took it up a bit into my crease and lined my lower lashline with it. I deepened up the outer V with a deep dark black and extended it out more than usual also to make it really dramatic. Lastly for the eyes, I applied a skin color on my browbone, blended out any harsh lines and applied a silver using the foiling method (using the color wet) to the inner corner to really make it pop. Finally, I contoured with my chocolate soleil bronzer and used Maybelline Color Sensational Very Cherry on my lips. Oh! and of course I could not forget the false eyelashes.

Con el maquillaje es que verdaderamente me expresé. No son muchas las oportunidades al año que uno tiene para hacer algo tan atrevido así que me lancé completamente. Para los ojos utilicé sombras de todos lados. Apliqué un marrón en el pliegue del ojo y un poco más arriba de lo normal. Coloqué un gris metálico por todo el párpado (dejando la parte interior sin nada), un poco dentro del pliegue y delineé debajo del ojo. Oscurecí la "V" exterior del ojo con negro y lo llevé un poco mas afuera de lo normal para hacerlo mas dramático. Para terminar con los ojos apliqué una sombra color carne debajo de las cejas, difuminé cualquier línea severa y coloqué un plateado (aplicando el color humedecido) en la parte interior del ojo para iluminarlo. Le di forma a la cara con mi bronceador chocolate soleil y en mis labios llevaba Maybelline Color Sensational en Very Cherry. Y por supuesto! no me podía olvidar de las pestañas postizas.

Christmas OOTD, FOTD & Sephora by OPI TrendTips Review

Merry Christmas everyone! I wanted to do a quick post to show you guys my outfits for Christmas Eve and day. I got all the clothes at Forever21, the shoes from Bakers and my accessories from Charlotte Russe. I also wanted to include a quick review of Sephora by OPI TrendTips. So let's get started.

Feliz Navidad! Quería hacer una entrada rápida para mostrarles mis ropa para la víspera y el día de Navidad. Toda la ropa es de Forever21, los zapatos son de Bakers y los accesorios de Charlotte Russe. También voy a incluis una pequeña reseña de los TrendTops de Sephora por OPI. Empecemos.

For Christmas Eve I fell in love with these burgundy shorts and this black shirt was perfect with it. I didn't bother with much accessories because with all the studs from the shirt I didn't think they were really needed.

Para Noche Buena me enamoré de estos cortos color vino y la camisa pegaba perfecta con ellos. No me molesté en usar muchos accesorios porque debido al diseño de la camisa no pensaba que realmente los necesitaba.

For Christmas day I had wanted a high-low skirt for such a long while and I dressed it down with a simple t-shirt and accessorized with a spikey necklace that I already owned.

Para el día de Navidad había querido una falda high-low hace mucho tiempo y la hice mas casual combinándola con una camiseta y un collar de picos que ya tenía.

As for the TrendTips, Im not impressed. They are easy to apply and have great designs. They feel really nice on the nails but after day 2 they already have started to fade on the tips which makes me sad because I really do like them. The thing is I would be all for them if they didn't fade so quickly. I don't want to pay $12 for nail stickers that will only last me for two day when I could spend that money on a polish. So that is my input on them.

Sobre los TrendTips, les tengo que decir que no estoy impresionada. Son fácil de aplicar y tienen buenos diseños. Se sienten bien en la uña pero después del día 2 ya se están empezando a desvanecerse en la punta de las uñas. Realmente me gustan pero es una de esas cosas que recomendaría y me encantaría realmente si no se desvanecieran tan rápido. No quiero pagar $12 por unos etiquetas para uñas que solo me van a durar dos días en buenas condiciones. Para eso prefiero gastar el dinero en un buen esmalte. Y eso es todo lo que puedo decir de ellas.

My Halloween Costume

Hey guys! I had absolutely no idea what to write about so I thought you might like to see what I dressed up for halloween. I forgot to take close up looks of the makeup but I'd be glad to recreate it if anyone asked. The makeup is simple and could easily be made into wearable going out makeup.

Hey! No tenía idea sobre que escribir y pensé que les gustaría ver como me disfracé para "halloween". Se me olvidó tomar unas fotos de cerca del maquillaje pero no tendría ningún problema para recrearla si alguien lo deseara. El maquillaje es simple y podría convertirlo fácilmente en un maquillaje mas sencillo para utilizar en una salida normal.

The best part of the night was doing my boyfriend's makeup. He went as a zombie, it was a last minute costume idea and the makeup is all drugstore. I made the wound on the cheek with duo eyelash glue and was so excited about how it turned out.

La mejor parte de la noche para mi fue maquillar a mi novio. Se disfrazó de zombie, fue una idea a última hora y el maquillaje lo hizo utilizando solo productos que conseguí en Walgreens. Cree la herida con pega de pestañas, !estaba tan emocionada de como se veía!

Ootd - Maxi Dress

I bring you today a little outfit of the day. I’m proud to say I actually managed to look decent when I really have been feeling horrible sick. As I do most sundays my family and I went out to eat. I put this together today to head out to Vaca Brava at Old San Juan.

Les traigo hoy un pequeño vestido del día. Me enorgullece decir que logré verme decente cuando en realidad me he estado sintiendo horriblemente enferma. Como hago la mayoría de los Domingos salí a comer con mi familia. Decidí usar esto para ir a comer a Vaca Brava en el Viejo San Juan.

A couple of weeks ago I got this maxi dress from the I Heart Ronson line at JcPenny on sale for only $12 and was very excited to finally wear it out. I stole the jacket, which gives it that casual vibe, from my mother’s closet (that’s why the fit is a bit big for me) and she’s had it for years so I have no idea where it is from. The dress came with the pretty belt which helps give me some shape and I paired it with these simple white sandals from Aldo. The bag is from Forever 21 and I thought it did a good job at finishing the look up.

Hace unas semanas conseguí este traje en especial a $12 dólares en JcPenny de la línea I Heart Ronson y me alegré de poder finalmente estrenarlo hoy. Le robé este abrigo de mahón, que hace el vestido mas casual, a mi madre (por eso me queda un poco grande) y no tengo idea de donde viene porque lleva en su closet años. El traje vino con la correa que me da un poco de forma y utilicé estas sandalias blancas simples de Aldo. Lo combiné con esta bolsa de Forever 21 que pensé que le daría un buen último toque a todo. 

For my makeup I kept it simple using my basic routine and on my eyes my Wet-n-Wild Walking on Eggshells trio and my Maybelline’s Chai Latte Quad. It was a nice outing even though I felt pretty sick for most of it. I always forget how nice Old San Juan feels.

Para el maquillaje lo mantuve bastante simple con mi rutina básica y en mis ojos mi trio de Wet-n-Wild Walking on Eggshells y my quad de Maybelline en Chai Latte. Fue una buena salida aunque me sentía bastante enferma. Siempre se me olvida lo lindo que es el Viejo San Juan.

What I Wore...Wedding Edition

As some of you may now, I had a cousin's wedding to attend last Saturday so I thought I'd show you what I wore. I wanted a really classy, sweet look and I really love how everything tied together. Beware! This post is picture heavy!

Como alguno de ustedes podría ya saber asistí a una boda esta sábado así que pensé que les mostraría lo que decidí vestir. Quería algo clásico, femenino pero a la vez un poco sofisticado y me encantó como todo quedó junto. Tomen en cuanta que esta entrada lleva muchas fotos!

I wore this Donna Ricco dress I got at Marshalls' a couple of years ago. I love the sweetheart neckline and the pretty fit.

Lucí este traje de Donna Ricco que compré en Marshalls hace algunos años. Me encantá el corte "sweetheart" y como se ajusta a mi cuerpo.

I accompanied the dress with this little black bag that my mother so graciously let me borrow and these lovely black pumps from Traffic Shoes.

As for my jewelry I kept it simple and my last accessories would be these Impress nails which I will have a review of shortly.

En cuanto a mis prendas lo mantuve simple y para el último accesorio, mis uñas, utilize esta uñas Impress de las cuales escribiré una reseña pronto.

Earrings were, again, borrowed from my mother and I do not remember where I got the bracelet. The necklace is a sapphire birthstone color necklace from Forever Crystals.

Las pantallas fueron, otra vez, prestadas de mi madre y no recuerdo de donde es la pulcera. El collar es color azul zafiro de la piedra del mes de septiembre de Forever Crystals.

Lastly, a close-up of ma' head! I got the makeup inspiration from this picture on pinterest. For my hair I kept it up with a messy bun done by first putting my hair up in rollers to give it volume, then putting it in a messy side fishtail braid and lastly, pinning it into a bun. I also curled a couple of pieces that hung out and pinned them loosely back.

Por último un "close-up" the mi cabeza! La inspiración para el maquillaje fue tomada de esta foto en pinterest. El pelo lo recogí con un peinado un poco despreocupado. Primero le di volumen a mi cabello al ponerlo en rolos, luego hice una trenza estilo "fishtail" y por último, fije la trenza en un rodete (bun).
