The other day a good friend of mine recommended I try imPress press-on nails so I figured a wedding was a perfect occasion to try these out. I picked these up at Walmart for about $5.00 and I am pleased to say...”ME LIKEY!”.

They come inside a secure really cute plastic container shaped like a nail polish bottle. You get 24 nails in 12 different shapes. The instructions for applying are on the back. You choose the nails sizes that will fit (it is suggested to go with a the smaller fit if you cant find a perfect one), prep your nails swiping with the pad included, remove the plastic that covers the glue by pulling on the tab and stick. As easy and quick as that!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What set these apart is that they feel comfortable on the nail, not like the nails you used to play around with when you were little. They don’t feel bulky and if applied correctly can look fairly natural. I featured these nails in a previous post and got a lot of compliments on the nail color. They come in a variety of different colors and designs which you could mix and match. Supposedly they last a week though mine only lasted four days, that said my nails always get a nice beating (I know! I should be more gentle with them!). Once one came of I was able to pull the rest away pretty easily without damaging the nail.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I like how they look and I think they are great for special occasions. I also plan on having one on stock for those time where my nails just don’t want to work with my and brake off into a mess of ickyness. They seem like a great alternative to give your natural nails a chance to grow back and cover up a messed up mani.

Thank you! I followed back huns! ;)
DeleteI LOVE these too! People are shocked when I tell them "where I get my nails done" lol I am enjoying going through your blog thanks for putting your posts in English as well as Spanish! <3
ReplyDeletethank you so much! I'm so glad someone actually cares for the spanish part I was feeling it was all for nothing!
Deletei really love these press on's because they are cute and the are easy to apply and remove such great product. even though some of them pop off in odd places i still love them.
ReplyDeleteI did not have a problem with them popping off...I guess it would also depend on how much you use your hands...thank you for reading :)
DeleteThese nails are horrible. They are way too thin. As soon as I put them on and started putting my cloths on one came off. I always use press on or glue on nails so I consider myself good at putting false nails on from the drug store. I really like the fact that these nails come in salon colors. But overall they are only for one night (Special Events) wear. I need these to be a little harder.
ReplyDeletesorry to hear that they didn't work out for you! what false nails from the drugstore do you enjoy?
DeleteThought Id put 2 cents in regarding the IMPRESS on Nails. I LOVE them and get about 5 days out of them! Ive seen various reviews from ppl saying they come off in hours to those who get the "almost a week" out of them. Your results will be greatly affected by the prep time you put into the application. If you just open them up and stick them on as is, you may get very little wear out of them because everyone's nails are different shapes and curvatures and the nails are NOT One Size Fits All out of the box!
ReplyDelete1. Wash and dry your nails. 2. Use the tiny nail file and LIGHTLY scuff the entire surface of your nail. 3. Use the prep pad to clean nails and wash & dry again. 4. Look at the curvature of your nail, and then the Impress nails to see what the difference is. If your nails are FLATTER, Press the nails on a hard surface until they are about the same curvature as your nails. THEN select the proper size for each nail. 5. When you apply them, press firmly with your thumb for a couple minutes to warm and set the adhesive. (If you occasionally press them during the day they will last longer. If you need to put your hands in water other then showering, etc, WEAR GLOVES! Remember they are already going to get wet every time you shower, wash hands, etc, and hand lotion can seep under too!) Anyway, Prep and Curvature matching your own nails is the key!
Thanks for your input! I agree with everything you said :)
DeleteThey look good on your nails!
ReplyDeletethank you! :)
DeleteI got about 30 minutes from these nails. They popped off left and right. Don't waste your money.
ReplyDeleteawee :( I'm sorry they didn't work out for you!
Deletemine did too.. but i wrote to the company and they are currently sending me another set.
Deletei hope they work out better this time though.
Nice! good customer support then :)
DeleteRecently I got those nails as a present (unfortunatelly, I cant got them in my country). They lasted over a week. And they look naturaly and beautiful and I am more than excited about them. Just LOVE them.
ReplyDeleteIm so glad you liked them too :)
DeleteI LOVE these nails... I have had about 3 different packs..one package of the nails lasted 2 weeks!
ReplyDeleteWoah! I wish they lasted that long for me.
DeleteThese are amazing! I am always getting compliments and girls always think it's a gel "shellac" manicure. Mine usually stay on for about a week, more because I just replace the loose ones with new ones from the same pack. I think certain colors/designs stay on better than others, and you MUST use the prep pad or polish remover before putting them on. Just wish they would come out with more colors!
ReplyDeleteI never really though of just replacing the loose ones..nice!
DeleteI love these nails too. When I apply these I actually put a little dot of nail glue on my nail. I then remove the tab and apply the fake nail over the glue, I get extended wear this way. My only complaint is the color gets worn off the tips rather quickly. I also don't like the texture of the tip of the nail once it is a little worn. It feels sort of rubbery.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the tip, but I've heard some designs last longer that others so maybe other don't have that problem.
Deleteyou have to prep your nails to wear these. Definitely use the alcohol pad included and make sure you get all the oils off your natural nails. I am a bartender and my hands are ALWAYS in water all week and I have been able to get about 10 days wear from my nails. The only time I've had an issue is if the glue on the nail is old then sometimes I may have to replace one after a few days, but otherwise I love these nails! I wear them all the time and even better now that they come in a medium length!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen them in medium length yet though I really like them short for myself.
DeleteI got these and put a thin layer of nail glue on my nails before applying. They look beautiful and they are really on there. Impress has such a better color varitey than most regular glue on nails.
ReplyDeleteI have to try that glue trick out!
DeleteJust tried it love the designs but hate the product, within less than 2 hours a nail fell off so I thought it was supposed to be quick and easy I don't have time for prep and I could hardly read the numbers on the back of the nails because they're soooooooooooooo small. I guess they meant it falls off quick and easy!! Don't buy it unless u plan to use it for less than a day. It's not worth it !!
ReplyDeleteawee! this seems to be one of those products that works for some but not for others...weird! maybe you could try using a drop of nail glue on them :)
DeleteI use these nails all the time and I love them! I'm a bartender so they really get put to the test and I can get 5 days to a week out of them. Prep time is quick and worth the extra bit of effort for them to stay on . They come off really easy too and dont damage my nails if I dont get too hasty peeling them off LOL. I highly recommend them to all my friends and love the shock on peoples faces when I tell them they are press ons!
ReplyDeleteyou make me want to get more! :D
DeleteI know I want more too LOL. Just wanted to come back and say that I've been looking for these nails online and on Ebay they are more expensive than they are in the stores! I can get them here at WalMart for $8.99 and they are priced higher than that on ebay plus shipping so not worth unless you can't get them in your area
DeleteI love these nail and I am on day 7!
ReplyDeleteI did have one nail fall off and I just reapplied it using clear nail polish. I did not want to use glue because of the harshness of removal. Anyway, 2 days later the nail polish has kept the nail in place!
I'm on day 10 of wear and I have only had one pop off.(Right hand index) and I just peeled the sticky pad off the back and applied a little nail glue and I'm good as new.
ReplyDeleteI also didn't like how the tips fade so I bought a chunky glitter polish (Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Lady Luck) and painted it over top of the solid pink nails and it looks like a brand new manicure.
I have tried the decorative nails but found the applique started to peel off of the style I bought after only a few days and the tips were thin. I am a professional and I don't want my nails to look uncared for but I also spend hours a day at a computer typing away so the nails take a lot of abuse but when they start to look shabby I just peel them off and pop on a new set so they never look like they need a fill or work.
I love the color you used! It totally looks like it could be your natural nails with a gel manicure or something. I can't wait to try them for myself!
